How does the ELSTER connection work?
PayrollPro uses the official ERiC interface (ELSTER Rich Client) of the German Federal Central Tax Office. Wage-tax filings and certificates are signed and transmitted straight from SAP Business One. No separate portal or third-party tool needed.
Are all social-insurance notifications supported?
Yes. PayrollPro generates all relevant DEUEV notifications as well as monthly contribution statements and AAG (Aufwendungsausgleichsgesetz, German employer reimbursement scheme) refund requests. Electronic submission happens directly from SAP Business One.
Why is annual maintenance mandatory for the purchase licence?
German wage-tax and social-insurance law changes every year. Without up-to-date updates, PayrollPro cannot guarantee legally compliant payroll. The maintenance fee ensures your solution always reflects the current legal state.
Can sensitive salary data leave the company network?
No - unless you want it to. PayrollPro runs fully on-premise. Salary data is processed locally. Only the legally mandated notifications (ELSTER, DEUEV) are transmitted to the relevant authorities in encrypted form.
How does the tiering by headcount work?
Licensing is based on the number of actively paid employees. You can upgrade at any time as you grow. Only employees who are actually being paid count - not the total number of SAP Business One users.
