What does an SAP Business One implementation cost?
It depends on company size and requirements. In the strategy call we discuss the scope and you get a transparent quote.
Do I need prior SAP experience?
No. We train your team and guide the entire process. You do not need any SAP experience.
Can I run SAP Business One in the cloud?
Yes. SAP Business One is available as an on-premise and as a cloud solution (SAP Business One Cloud / HANA). We advise you on the right option.
What company size is SAP Business One suited for?
SAP Business One is aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises with up to 500 employees. It is particularly well suited for companies that want to move beyond Excel spreadsheets and isolated systems.
What happens to my existing data during implementation?
We migrate master data (customers, suppliers, items) and, if desired, open documents. Format and scope are clarified during the needs analysis.
Should I migrate all historical data or just master data?
In most cases we migrate master data and open documents. Historical transaction data (e.g. old invoices) stays in the legacy system as an archive. A full migration sounds appealing but also carries legacy issues and data problems into the new system.
Can I roll out SAP Business One step by step, or does everything have to go live at once?
Yes, a phased approach is possible. We recommend a modular rollout: start with core processes (accounting, purchasing, sales), then add extensions such as warehouse, manufacturing, or add-ons.
How many consulting days does an SAP B1 implementation realistically require?
That depends on the complexity. Small implementations get by with 10-15 days, mid-sized projects range from 20-30 days, and complex scenarios (manufacturing, multiple locations, many interfaces) require 40+ days. In a strategy call we estimate the effort for your situation.
Why do so many ERP projects fail - and how do I avoid that?
The most common reasons: unclear requirements, lack of management commitment, underestimating data migration, and insufficient training. We counter this with a structured 4-phase process (strategy call, needs analysis, implementation, hypercare) and clear role definitions from day one.
How do I get my employees to accept the new system?
Involve them early. We train key users who carry the system forward within the team. The key is to show each employee the personal benefit - less manual work, faster answers, fewer follow-up questions. Resistance usually comes when people feel left out of the process.
Should we optimise processes first or implement the ERP first?
Both at the same time. An ERP implementation is the natural moment to rethink processes. Our recommendation: document existing workflows, identify obvious weaknesses, then map the improved processes in the ERP - rather than transferring the old ones one-to-one.
