Which SAP functions can the AI Assistant handle?

The assistant can search business partners, documents, and items, create quotations and orders, check stock, query open items, and generate reports. It connects directly to the SAP Service Layer API - over 200 endpoints are wired up.

Is my data safe?

The assistant accesses your system via the SAP Service Layer API - it only sees the data you ask for, not your entire database. For language processing you can choose between different AI providers: cloud-based (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI) or fully self-hosted (e.g. Ollama with local models). With the self-hosted option your data does not leave your network. With cloud providers, only the actual requests and results are transmitted - not your entire database.

Do I need SAP HANA for this?

No. The AI Assistant works with SAP Business One on both HANA and MS SQL Server. The only requirement is an active Service Layer.

How is the assistant installed?

As a browser extension (Chrome/Edge) for the SAP Business One WebClient - one click, no server installation needed. For Telegram we set up the bot in a few minutes.
