RConsult.biz

The ERP for wholesalers who want to grow. Without Excel bridges, without stock blindness.

50 to 250 employees, three warehouses, and every Monday you burn an hour reconciling stock? SAP Business One clears that up. We implement, migrate and take over — at a fixed price.

The three distribution pain points an ERP has to solve

Anyone still keeping stock in Excel and calculating margins at night knows: the problem will not go away. It grows the more you sell.

Stock accuracy

Relying on imprecise stock values means selling goods that are not there and storing goods that should have left long ago. SAP Business One brings multi-warehouse, serial numbers and batches together cleanly.

Margin transparency

Purchase price plus freight plus duties plus discounts plus shipping is the real margin. Calculating that by hand means calculating it wrong. SAP Business One does it automatically.

Multichannel chaos

Webshop, EDI, B2B portal, marketplaces — without a central system three or four versions of the truth appear. SAP Business One becomes your single source of truth.

What SAP Business One covers for wholesalers

Standard in SAP Business One

  • Multi-warehouse with transfers and stock valuation
  • Serial number and batch tracking
  • Price lists per customer, customer group and volume tiers
  • Picking and returns workflow
  • Continuous document flow: quotation, order, delivery note, invoice
  • Credit limit checks and automated dunning

Through add-ons or interfaces

  • EDI connections (EDIFACT, VDA, retail formats)
  • Webshop connectors (Shopware, Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce)
  • Carrier integration (DHL, DPD, UPS) with label printing and tracking
  • Marketplace connections (Amazon, eBay)
  • PIM and product catalogue systems

These areas are not part of the SAP Business One standard, but can be covered reliably through proven extensions.

What do inefficient processes cost you?

Step 1 of 3

Where are your biggest challenges right now?

Select all areas that apply.

What typically gets better

No invented percentages. Three areas where our distribution customers measurably move forward after the switch:

Stock accuracy rises

Because multi-warehouse, batches and serial numbers are kept in the same system — no more parallel spreadsheets.

Month-end close gets shorter

Because distribution and finance data no longer have to be merged from three systems.

Order throughput speeds up

Because approvals, credit limits and pricing logic run rule-based instead of by hand.

Implementation, migration or partner switch — where do you stand?

Implement from scratch

Move from Excel or a legacy system to a modern ERP. Fixed price, 4-8 weeks.

Migrate to HANA

Your SAP Business One runs on SQL Server but should move to HANA. Fixed-price packages.

Review your partner situation

SAP Business One already runs, but the collaboration stalls? We show the options – including a handover without system downtime.

Typical questions from distribution companies

Isn't SAP Business One oversized for 50 employees?
No. The sweet spot for SAP Business One is 40 to 120 employees. Below that it quickly becomes too much effort, above it the budget moves towards SAP S/4HANA. For a growing wholesaler of that size, SAP Business One is the right tool.
What does an SAP Business One implementation really cost for a wholesaler?
We work with fixed prices instead of day rates. The range depends on warehouse logic, number of entities, interfaces (EDI, webshop, carriers) and the depth of customisation. In the strategy call we define the scope and you receive a binding offer.
Can we connect our existing webshop?
Yes — through add-ons or middleware. For the common platforms (Shopware, Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce) there are established connectors. The connection is not part of the SAP Business One standard, but it is a proven building block in many distribution projects.
We have EDI connections to our largest customers. Is that covered?
Yes, through add-ons or middleware. Common formats (EDIFACT, VDA, retail formats) can be mapped with proven connectors. Individual customer formats are captured in the analysis workshop and connected separately.
How long does the implementation take?
4 to 8 weeks with standard processes. More complex setups with many interfaces or several entities can take up to 12 weeks. The exact duration depends on your requirements analysis.
What happens to our historical data from the old inventory system?
Master data (customers, suppliers, items) is migrated. Transaction data (old invoices, delivery notes) we take over selectively — in most cases keeping the legacy system as an archive makes more sense, because a full migration carries old data problems along with it.
